Your comfort and safety are my primary concerns. To get the most out of your first visit, please take a moment to read through the following information. Also, to ensure that we maximize your time, please print and fill out the following forms.

Ask Questions
Chinese Medicine is a completely different way of looking at the body. Please feel welcome to ask questions at any time, and let me know if you don’t understand the answer!

What to Wear
Please wear comfortable clothes. You will probably remain dressed, depending on the issue that we are addressing, but you may be required to remove some articles of clothing. Loose clothes are best.

Bring Your Best Self
Do not come in overly full or very hungry. If you are coming in for a pain condition, please do not take pain medication prior to your treatment if you can stand it. But do not force yourself to be miserable. This is only a suggestion.

Medications and Supplements
Please be prepared to disclose any medications or supplements you are taking. Your condition may require herbs. Usually herbs can be used in conjunction with pharmaceuticals, but they can interact. It is imperative that you give me the information to prevent this. Your safety is my highest concern.

Feeling Lightheaded — It Happens
Occasionally, a person may feel lightheaded after a treatment. This is a result of your body’s energies readjusting themselves, you will return to normal within a few minutes. You can wait for this to pass in the treatment room. Most people find their acupuncture treatments very relaxing and enjoyable.

Finding the Right Treatment Plan
Your initial visit will be focused on your health history and determining your needs. Take some time afterward to determine what level of commitment you are willing to make to this process. At the first followup visit, I'll help determine a treatment plan.

The Fine Print
Payment is required at the time of service. If you are using insurance to pay for your treatment, I will need additional information before your first appointment to verify your benefits. Cancellations must be made 48 hours in advance. If proper notice is not given, you are responsible for the cost of the missed appointment. Thank you for understanding that scheduled time is valuable.

Schedule Online, by Phone, or by Email
You can schedule your first appointment (or your second, or third, etc) with my online scheduling tool. This tool is nice because you'll know exactly which times I have available without waiting to call during business hours or waiting for an email response. But if you'd rather hear the sound of a human voice, give me a call at 828-216-7326. Or email
